Hunter | Charlottesville Child Photographer

I don’t often get to do shoots for children…we do offer them on a limited basis, with priority spots for past clients and friends.  BUT, how could I turn down an opportunity to photograph THIS 6 year old??

Hunter is a friend of my daughter’s from daycare, and they now go to the same school.  And his mom and I decided to meet up at that school for a very, VERY early morning photoshoot.  7am early morning!!  But it was perfect…cool enough before the spring heat was going to hit…the light just coming up above the trees…AND the best part is, the 6 year old that was totally up for an early morning adventure.

I mean, look at him.  THOSE EYES!!  I have to laugh, too, because Hunter here with a buttercup, looking sweet and innocent…don’t you doubt it, he is high energy fun!  We got to climb trees:

Overall, he was a GREAT sport for such an early morning photoshoot.  But I’m starting to think…hmm…maybe for all child photography, we should try early morning?

It’s rough on us, but man, they are full of energy and in a good mood, as opposed to post all the day’s activities that our children have.  In fact, later this same day, we met up with Hunter again for a birthday party.  Geez, our children’s social schedules!  😉

The school was a great, creative spot to meet, and had wonderful significance to all of us, since we spend a lot of time here during the school year.

Thanks to Donna for braving the early morning so we could have a happy child and good light…AND for being a good friend!  It was a great way to spend my morning.
