Down by the Lake | Forest Lakes Photography

Oh my gosh, y’all.  I’m SO far behind on blogging.  I have had this one started quite awhile ago, and yet, here I am, summertime, and I’m just now posting?  Trust me, it’s not because I don’t love my clients and my sessions, ha!  I am just busy busy busy, and want to take the time to talk about my sessions in these blog posts, because my clients are THE BEST.

And sometimes my clients are my neighbors, and my friends.  These guys are some special people in our lives.  Susan and Patrick, with their son Bryce and dog Dallas, live a few houses down from us.  But that’s not how we met…we actually met years ago with our playgroup.  We’ve gotten some major friendships out of this group…we do ladies night, poker, we even vacation in groups together.  And our kids have become friends in the process.  So when my husband and I decided we needed to move to get closer to the city, we had only 2 houses in Forest Lakes available by the time we sold our original house, and the perfect one happened to be just 3 houses down from our friends!  REALLY what was the luck?

And now, this is our home.  This family knows “The Rock”, or as I like to take ownership of it, “Amy’s Rock”, well, since it’s on the lake right near our houses.  Even though we got out a little late in the fall, there was still plenty of color on the leaves, and the temperature was perfection.

It’s so odd posting this, as I’m heading out to the pool to hang out with these guys as I post this, what the what?  Well, maybe it’s good to see a bit of fall color in July, to get us excited for it on these sweltering days…but honestly, I’m going to soak up as much pool time as I can this summer, because even with these gorgeous scenes, I’m still enjoying the warmth.  Hope everyone is having a great summer, and love to my friends, I hope you loved these photos as much as I love you guys!
