Charlottesville Cake Smash

You never know how a cake smash will go…cake might intrigue.ย  It might make them cry.ย  Well, let’s just say for a fact:ย  1 Year old Wyatt has never met a food he didn’t like, and a cake was not going to be any exception!

I was able to capture Wyatt when he was a bitty newborn…it’s hard to imagine him as a baby anymore, he’s gotten so big.

Wyatt was an Easter-time baby, and his mother found these wonderful knit bunny hats for Wyatt and his older brother Malcolm to wear.ย  We decided to pull out a good old pair of bunny ears to mark the occasion for his 12 month photoshoot.

Wow.ย  Yup.ย  Just a year’s difference!

Wyatt was READY.ย  READY for his cake.ย  I don’t think there was a moment he was upset, or truly unsure…sometimes babies at cake smashes aren’t really sure what they were supposed to do.ย  “They are letting me stuff my face with sweets?ย  I’m supposed to eat on the floor???”ย  You can just imagine the confusion.

For me?ย  Are you sure?ย  See, only a moment of hesitation:

You see how long that lasted.ย  ๐Ÿ˜‰Charlottesville Cake SmashCharlottesville Cake Smash

A beautiful cake his mom made for him!ย  She got the topper off of Etsy (a great place to look, by the bye!) and Wyatt spent a long time just working on eating it, and we couldn’t quite get why, we didn’t think it could have tasted that good.

But as you can see, he made it to the cake.

And ate.

And ate.

And ATE.

WOW.ย  Yes, definitely a success!

Happy first birthday, Wyatt!
