A Third Little Boy Named Luke | Virginia Newborn Photographer

A third baby boy for my friend and her family…boys, boys, boys!  As my daughter would say, “the girls are outnumbered!” 😉

I had the pleasure of also photographing young Drew when he was a itty-bitty, and followed his progression at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and then 1 year!  Now, it is baby Luke’s turn for a photoshoot.

The details of toes and fingers are always amazing to look at…to imagine we all started this small.  Already by the time this blog post is up, Luke will have started looking so different than he does now…which is why it is so important to capture these details when they are new!

Luke was a big boy at over 9 lbs at birth (as opposed to his big brother Drew who was born preterm and a bit on the smaller side, but more than caught up over the year), and super sweet!

Sleepy and sweet, I love Luke’s delicate toes & fingers…I am willing to bet he’ll be a tall boy when he grows up.

I love adding color to all photoshoots, a bit of a mix of soft wooly rugs and pompom blankets make for a comfortable bed for the littles that I photograph.

I think he looks like a rockstar there, ha!

And of course, the “holy grail” of newborn photography…getting that sweet smile on “film”!
